Soundless cries in tapestries of light
Lifeless rainbows sparkling at night
Frozen jewels that burn at dark
Phantom chuckles in a string of lark
Smiling but dead as a corpse’s hair
Sweat as cold as the Ice Queen’s lair
Glimmering but numb as a vulture’s nail
Body as stiff as a dragon’s tail
Gaia’s breath in a planet of lust
Crystals’ swim in the pool of dust
Swirling in a cup of virgins’ fire
Dancing for the bite of cryptic desire
Coffins in smoky alleys & caves
Asleep in sticky walls & graves
Wispy voices & feathery chimes
Wicked kisses & sweltering crimes
Flightless bats afloat in a nebula
Limping in a race with Count Dracula
Hearing but deaf in a heart of songs
Seeing yet blind in a soul of wrongs
Lost in a jungle of empty space
And eerie hollers in endless chase
Spinning in shadows of drunken seers
In infants’ coos and vampires’ tears
When stars burst and galaxies clot
When their fangs rust and their cloaks rot
Naked in death they will grow
Wings to fly on sunny glow
Legs to walk on Milky Way
Eyes to gaze through lightning ray
Ears to capture thunder’s art
And Hands to touch Heaven’s Heart…
