Luglug, Ludalod...

9/10/2016

Luglug, Ludalod my child.
Play with water and tumble in dirt.
Wet clothes can dry and dirty clothes can be washed.
Messy hands can be cleaned and you can clothe yourself in endless soap suds while you gleam.

Go anak... make a splash from that puddle of rain.
Catch those raindrops with your cupped little hands.
Make mountains and balls from sand & mud.
Build towers & fortresses with rocks, stones, and sticks.
Pretend they're all jewels from a distant moon or fallen stars from the sky.

If it's stormy outside, create rainbows & sunny pictures of any color you can mix & swish.
Paint on paper or write on walls.
Brush the floor or print on doors.
The house is your canvass, you can color and roll in all.

Collect seeds under nameless trees. Count leaves on fallen twigs.
Lie on the grass. Smell the flowers both fragrant & malodorous.
Follow a centipede on a branch. Watch a worm wiggle to its hole.
Hug a chicken. Kiss a cow.
The Earth awaits your vow.

Slide all you want. Just take turns.
Climb those acrobatic bars. No pushing please.
Blow a million rainbow bubbles. Don't drink that though.
One day, you'll be a child no more.
But carry your childlike heart as you grow.
